This kit requires a compatible BUP mount base.
The BUP RTL510-515 SL mount arm positions the radar horizontally for clearance below the mount point. There is no issue using the RTL510 or RTL515 Varia in this manner (Specialized bike racks with integrated Garmin radars do this). This add-on kit is ideal for bike racks that have reduced clearance over the rear tire or saddle setups with large saddle bags.
This add-on mount arm kit uses the standard quarter-turn connector used by all models of Varia radars except the RCT715 (See Garmin RCT715 kit). This kit includes everything needed to attach your RTL510 or RTL515 to our supported mount bases and includes a safety tether.
